                                                                     Bio:

From humble beginnings in a rough Detroit neighborhood, to the bright lights of DREAMWAVE, Austin Roberts was seemingly tailor made to be the man to represent LaSalle as it's champion.

From an early age, "Silent Intensity" quickly became familiar with blue collar hard work.  Watching both of his parents come up in the thriving Detroit automotive industry, Roberts decided that he wanted something different for himself.

At age 18, after finishing high school, Roberts left Detroit with little more than a bus pass, $5 to his name, and few worldly possessions of his own.  He quickly found a new home in the windy city, Chicago, IL.  To pay the bills, Roberts found work as a bouncer and a dockworker.  When he got a break from his 18 hour work days, he found himself exercising and lifting weights to keep up with the physical demands that his line of work required.

One day at the gym, Roberts was approached by a local wrestling promoter, who thought he had a great physique.  Austin agreed to come train in professional wrestling during his free time.  After a few weeks, the promoter realized what kind of potential Austin Roberts had. They both knew that Roberts could be a World Champion one day if he could focus 100% of his time on wrestling. Against the advice of friends, he quit his jobs and began wrestling exclusively.  Sleeping in an extra room at the dingy training facility, Roberts worked day and night at his craft.  Roberts quickly realized that the better he got, the more money he could make, he began wrestling on every show he could get himself on, all throughout the Midwest.  Soon it was the promoters contacting him to wrestle on their shows, due to his reputation and popularity.

Roberts was invited by an old acquaintance, Jay Repsel, to participate in the DREAMWAVE Championship Cup Tournament, which began in April of 2009.  A few months later, at "Immortality", Roberts was the first ever DREAMWAVE World Champion.  Austin was nicknamed, "Silent Intensity", by fellow wrestlers for his nonsense approach, and desire to do his talking in the ring, and not on the microphone.   That, coupled with his "everyman" attitude has made him the most popular wrestler LaSalle has ever seen.

In a rare interview, Roberts did say this about his time in DREAMWAVE so far:

"LaSalle is my kind of town.  I love the people, I love the town, I love being their World Champion."
