Acid Announced
As First LaSalle Wrestling Hall of Fame Entrant

December 16th, 2009 (LaSalle, IL)-
With the opening of the LaSalle Professional Wrestling Hall of
Fame on February 6th, 2010 comes the announcement of the
very first entrant, "The Human Highlight Reel" Acid.
One of LaSalle's top fan favorites of
all time, Acid, made his debut in LaSalle at Revolution
Championship Wrestling (RCW): Uprising on April 20th, 2002 at the
Illinois Valley Banquet Center. He wrestled in the inaugural
match, winning against "The Icepick" Vic Capri in, what is to this
day, considered an all time classic. It was considered by many as
the "rebirth" of professional wrestling in the Illinois Valley.
450 fans (a record crowd for the town at that time), attended
Uprising I, and many saw amazing moves they had never seen before
performed by both Acid and Vic Capri. LaSalle was
never the same again.
Acid went on to feud with his arch nemesis,
The Double M, for the better part of the next two years.
Acid become only the second World Champion in LaSalle's history on
September 21st, 2002 at RCW: Absolution when he defeated The
Double M in a Last Man Standing Match.
Often targeted for his popularity alone,
Acid went on to have memorable matches and feuds with Sabu, CM
Punk, Ace Steel, and many others. When the smoke cleared,
Acid won the LaSalle World Championship a record tying three
times. The only other man to achieve that landmark;
his arch rival, The Double M.
Acid went into semi retirement to pursue
other interests outside of professional wrestling in early 2009,
until the wrestling bug bit him once again. He will make his
in ring return the same night he accepts his LaSalle Professional
Wrestling Hall of Fame Induction Plaque, February 6th, 2010 at
DREAMWAVE Wrestling: "Season Premiere". Acid will return
with a partner this time, Synn, to compete for a title he has
never won in LaSalle, the World Tag Team Championship. "I
couldn't stay away from LaSalle. It reinvigorated my career
once and I can't wait to perform for the best fans in the world
again."
While LaSalle is grateful for the many
memories Acid provided it's fans with in the past, he tells us to
"stay tuned". Acid says that he has bettered himself and has
become a more complete wrestler now. When asked if he has
another run in him, he simply replied, "I'm better now than I was
then."
While that is all speculation, one thing is
for sure, Acid has earned his spot among the pioneers of
Professional Wrestling in LaSalle.
"The Human Highlight Reel" Acid is
officially inducted into the LaSalle Professional Wrestling Hall
of Fame on February 6th, 2010 at DREAMWAVE Wrestling: Season
Premiere.
