DREAMWAVE News & Rumors for
10/4/11
by
Steve Schultz

_______________________________________________________________________________
- Internally the huge news is the Survival
of the Fittest match between "Team Revolution" captained by
Austin Roberts vs. "Team DREAMWAVE" captained by Acid. If
"Team Revolution" wins, JC Costilli must leave DREAMWAVE.
If "Team DREAMWAVE" wins, Jay Repsel, is fired as CEO.
Things were very tense backstage and "The
Revolution" were said to be courting members of the roster as
soon as this announcement was made at "No Escape". The
locker room is said to have mixed feelings about this, due to
the fact that if they were on the winning team they would
immediately be a favorite of the new CEO. However, if they
were to represent someone and lose, they would almost certainly
be in the doghouse of the new CEO.
The DREAMWAVE Board of Directors have
passed on word that both teams must announce a MINIMUM of one
team member per week beginning October 10th. Jay Repsel is
said to be "a nervous wreck" over this and has been calling in
favors to past friends and employees, trying to put together the
best team possible.

Every month, DREAMWAVE Wrestler's receive
a FedEx package with their contract for the following month's
match. One name that no one wants to see on the other side
of that contract ....Houston.

Everyone from wrestlers to fans were
commending the job Derek St. Holmes did on commentary Saturday
at "No Escape". He is expected back.

- Mick Foley has very nice things to say
about his overall experience at "No Escape". He said it
was "by far" one of the best crowds he had worked in front of
and one of the "hungriest locker rooms" he had seen in quite
some time.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Part time DREAMWAVE competitor, Samuray
Del Sol, is making waves in Mexico. He has been a regular
there since the beginning of 2011. Speculation is that the
frequency of his visits there will be increasing as time goes
on.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Prince Mustafa Ali, a backstage producer
for DREAMWAVE following his in ring career, finished up with the
company at "Good As Gold" in September. Ali is pursuing
other personal interests currently but is very highly regarded
internally and maintains a good relationship with everyone in
the company. Officials have been attempting to convince
him to return for a match at ANNIVERSARY III, however he is
enjoying his retirement.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- 2/3rd's of Ace Martino's PRIDE faction,
Justice Jones and Matt Knicks, were said to receive high marks
from their peers and staff for their match with Zero Gravity at
"No Escape".
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Jason Hades surprise appearance and "No
Escape" was said to be just that, a total shock to everyone in
the locker room. I was told that only two people in the
entire company knew about it. Hades seemed to elude that
while he isn't coming back full time right now, it may be in the
cards down the road. Regardless, it was great to see the
former World Champion.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- No major injuries coming out of "No
Escape". Greg Glover and Brian Nelson were exhausted and
very sore after their match but that is to be expected.
Not sure we've seen the last of this war yet.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- If you haven't bought a DREAMWAVE DVD
since Smart Mark Video began filming the shows, shame on you.
The quality and production value on them has increased
dramatically.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Ace Martino has filed a formal grievance
with the DREAMWAVE offices concerning his match at "No Escape"
on 10/1. Martino faced Steve Boz and 450 (Champion) in a
triple threat for the Alternative Title. Prior to the
event, word came out that Steve Boz had to pass a physical
before competing in the match. As the match was going on,
court appointed supervisor, Justin McIntyre III, came to the
ring and said that Boz did not pass the test so he shouldn't be
competing. Making the best of a bad situation while this
was going on, 450 rolled up Boz and pinned him. Martino's
grievance states that "Steve Boz was not an official competitor
in the match, therefore the pin fall should be rescinded".
Martino believes that he is owed a rematch with 450 for the
Alternative Title.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- The Beck Family vs Waylon feud
continues to heat up. Mason Beck, Cousin Bobby, and Nikki,
were said to be so furious that Waylon abandoned them and won
the "Good As Gold" briefcase, that they enlisted the help of
their "distant cousin", Dixie. The big man made a very
impressive debut at "No Escape" destroying DTM and Waylon.
Many fans in attendance said that Cousin Dixie's second rope
"Kickapoo Destroyer" was the craziest thing they had ever seen.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana is back full time in DREAMWAVE beginning
at "No Escape". He missed "Good As Gold" due to a Japanese
tour he was on at the time.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Upcoming DREAMWAVE special guests:
"Survival of the Fittest" on 11/5/11- Tommy Dreamer
"The Fight Before Christmas" on 12/3/11- Rhyno
"Season Premiere" on
2/4/12- To be announced 11/5
_______________________________________________________________________________
- The DREAMWAVE fans have been asking for
some women's action at an upcoming show. I have it on good
authority that they may be getting there wish in some form or
fashion.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- "Next" Nick Brubaker continues to be the
Cal Ripken of DREAMWAVE. Since the company's inception in
April 2009, Nick Brubaker has never missed a DREAMWAVE show.
Brubaker is the only one to hold the distinction of wrestling at
all 32 DREAMWAVE shows. While he doesn't strike me as a
guy who cares about what the fans think, perhaps that's why a
vocal minority of the fans have been singing his praises lately?
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Have you noticed that the special guests
have been wrestling lately? I certainly have been enjoying
the change of pace.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Company officials have already begun
working on the biggest show of the year, ANNIVERSARY III which
takes place on April 7th, 2012.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Just a note...if you order DREAMWAVE
tickets with less than ten days to go before a show, all you
have to do is print your Paypal receipt and show it at the door.
Your tickets will not be mailed when there are LESS than ten
days to go before a show.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Congrats to longtime DREAMWAVE staffer,
Chad, on the birth of his first born son.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Renewals are coming due very soon for 2011
Season Ticket holders. If you don't notify officials of
your intention to renew, your seat will go into the seat lottery
which takes place on 12/3.

- There was a buzz going around backstage
about the debut of Christian Rose at "Survival of the Fittest"
on 11/5. Many were said to be extremely impressed with his
promo "Born to Hurt" which aired at "No Escape". While
little is known about Rose at this time, he is certainly looking
to make a splash on 11/5.
_______________________________________________________________________________
- Scott Keyes' frustration continues to grow
over no one knowning his name. Keyes is said to be
frustrated because he has been "less than memorable" and no one
ever seems to remember his name. I did overhear a
conversation at "No Escape" between two tenured DREAMWAVE stars
and when Keyes' name was brought up I heard someone blurt out
"Who the h*ll is Scott Keyes?".
