- At "Survival of the Fittest", JC Costilli's "Team DREAMWAVE" defeated Jay Repsel's "Team Revolution", therefore JC Costilli is the new CEO and Repsel is merely an employee of DREAMWAVE and nothing more. Costill, has been busy since "Survival of the Fittest" settling into his new role.  So far the response by talent and staff seems positive to the new DREAMWAVE boss.  The atmosphere around the offices have said to be more "relaxed".

- JC Costilli's first act may have to be to pull out a miracle.  We have received word that Nick Brubaker's DREAMWAVE contract expired just prior to "Survival of the Fittest" on November 5th, 2011.  Brubaker and then CEO, Jay Repsel, were able to reach a temporary extension, through midnight on 11/5.

 

As of right now, Nick Brubaker has not signed a new contract with DREAMWAVE.  We do know that Brubaker has been offered a contract but has not signed it. Perhaps the most telling in this whole saga is that Brubaker is the "Cal Ripken of DREAMWAVE", having never missed a show, and he is not listed on the next event page of "The Fight Before Christmas" on December 3rd. 

 

Costilli and his office are said to know the severity of this situation, and are working feverishly around the clock to get this resolved.  JC Costilli's number one priority right now is to get Brubaker, a true franchise player, signed to a new contract. 

 

Brubaker debuted at the very first DREAMWAVE show, "Beginnings", on April 4th, 2009, as a last minute replacement for Shawn Cook in the World Title tournament.  Brubaker instantly captured the fans attention with his anti-establishment attitude, unique look, and technical wrestling skills.  Brubaker would go on to win both the Alternative Title and the World Championship.  Nick was also the leader of The Legendary "A-List" along with Ryland Foxx.   Throughout most of his time in DREAMWAVE, Brubaker was hated by fans, but recently he has been cheered (loudly) by the DREAMWAVE faithful.

 

We will keep you up to date on any new developments in this story, as the time is running out until "The Fight Before Christmas" on 12/3.

Waylon Beck suffered a severe stinger at "Survival of the Fittest" after being on the receiving end of "The Kickapoo Destroyer" by Cousin Dixie and a huge power bomb by Mason Beck.  His status for "The Fight Before Christmas" is day to day.

- Tommy Dreamer absolutely loved visiting DREAMWAVE and said it was one of his favorite experiences working an "indy" show ever.  Dreamer also led the after party band, X-Factor, in a rousing rendition of "Alice in Chains- Man in the Box" at the 9th St. Pub following the show.

- Christian Rose made a huge impact in his debut on 11/5.  Many DREAMWAVE competitors in the back were said to be extremely impressed with Rose's "in ring skills" and "gift of gab"....despite him being "a little off".

- The Beck Family made a huge impact at "Survival of the Fittest" by having their entire team be "survivors".  I spoke with one tenured DREAMWAVE star who said a lot of guys are "getting a little scared" at the resurrection of the Becks as of late.  Adding Cousin Dixie and the exile of Waylon may be just what the doctor ordered for DREAMWAVE's first family.

- Joey "Bam Bam" Hegland and Nathan Knox, now known as "The Dudesons", shocked a lot of people with their pre-show win at "Survival of the Fittest" on 11/5.  This reporter is anxious to see how they do against some "stiffer" competition in the form of P.R.I.D.E.

- The origin and the nature of the "12/3/11" videos remains a total mystery, though it appears to be leading to some sort of climax at "The Fight Before Christmas" on 12/3.

- Aside from Waylon's stinger, there were no major injuries coming out of "Survival of the Fittest" on 11/5.

- JC Costilli's offices have decided to reinstate the top ten rankings for the World Title and Alternative Title divisions.  Those rankings are expected to surface imminently.

-  Colt "Boom Boom" Cabana has signed an extension and will remain with DREAMWAVE through the 2012 season.

- Design of the Season 4 set has begun and will debut at "Season Premiere" in February 2012.

- Ace Martino has been very vocal about feeling he is the rightful Alternative Champion.  He will get a chance to stake that claim on 12/3 when he battles Steve Boz with the winner getting a title shot at "Season Premiere" 2012 against 450.

- Did you notice that the price of DREAMWAVE tickets have never gone up?

- Beginning with the 2012 season (season 4), all front row seats will be numbered to better improve the experience for non-season ticket holders.  All season ticket holders will receive a special lanyard this year, denoting they are a season ticket holder.

- Three different "HUGE" stars have been contacted about appearing at ANNIVERSARY III.  No word yet if any have committed but we hear that the new regime is determined to make this "The best ANNIVERSARY" yet.

- Just a note...if you order DREAMWAVE tickets with less than ten days to go before a show, all you have to do is print your Paypal receipt and show it at the door.  Your tickets will not be mailed when there are LESS than ten days to go before a show.

- Congrats to long time season ticket holders, Erin and Chris, on their recent marriage.

- Renewals are coming due very soon for 2011 Season Ticket holders.  If you don't notify officials of your intention to renew, your seat will go into the seat lottery which takes place on 12/3.  To renew your Season Tickets for 2012 click here.

- Former CEO and current Revolution Leader, Jay Repsel, is rumored to be on absolute edge lately.  Repsel is apparently worried sick about what kind of torture JC Costilli will put him through now that he is in charge.  We do know that Costilli can not fire Repsel without approval of the board of directors.  That move would also be counterproductive, as Repsel represents the current World Champion, Austin Roberts who would almost certainly leave with Repsel, were he terminated. 

 

One wrestler who asked to remain nameless, told us that he heard Repsel is gearing up his "Revolution" stable for a war.  Repsel is telling those in his inner circle that he is "digging deep into his rolodex" to make the "Revolution" unstoppable.   While he was still CEO, Repsel made the Marshe Rockett vs Rhino match for 12/3 as payback for Marshe giving him the "M-80" at Brawl at the Mall 2.  Repsel says Rhino is only the first of many high paid "mercenaries" he is calling on to handle his business.

- Speaking of the World Champion, rumor has it he may be getting some updated hardware soon.

- DREAMWAVE The Music: Volume 2 is due out in February.  The production department is also planning some "best of DVD's" for next year.

- Did you know:  The afternoon of  every DREAMWAVE show there are 4-6 wrestler's that try out to be a part of DREAMWAVE?  This is truly THE PLACE TO BE.

- In what may be the best news of the year, The Knights of Columbus had brand new air conditioning units installed recently that should make the summer shows "much more tolerable".

- The Greg Glover vs Brian Nelson feud continues at "The Fight Before Christmas" on 12/3 as the two face each other in a "Fans Pick the Match" showdown.  Glover is said to be releasing a video about the kind of match he want DREAMWAVE fans to vote for soon.  Never seen someone politic for a specific kind of match, but very interesting nonetheless.
