DREAMWAVE News
and Rumors For 1/7/10 (1.7.10)

- There has been a lot of buzz
going around the locker room about who will be the lucky winner of
the "Lethal Lottery" drawing at "Season Premiere" on February 6th.
Everyone seems to be excited that for one night, even if they
aren't the number one contender they might have a shot at the
DREAMWAVE World Title.
- An interesting fact just occurred to me that may never happen
again after "Season Premiere" on February 6th. Please keep in mind
while reading, that this is a super long shot.
Nick Brubaker and Steve Boz are both part of a rare statistical
anomaly. Both men could hypothetically walk out of "Season
Premiere" with all three DREAMWAVE Championships: World,
Alternative, and Tag Team.
Here is how:
Either man could win the "Briefcase vs. Belt" match, making them
the Alternative Champion and the "Good As Gold" Briefcase holder.
That man could then cash the briefcase in, along with a tag
partner, win the 8 team Championship Gauntlet and become the Tag
Team Champions.
Following that, Boz or Brubaker could go on to win the random
"Lethal Lottery" drawing and face Austin Roberts for the World
Championship.
- Speaking of "Briefcase vs Belt", some of his peers have been
questioning Boz's decision to put the briefcase on the line
instead of just cashing it in to get his shot at the Alternative
Title at "Season Premiere". The word going around the back is that
Boz feels he can go "double or nothing" and take both. Apparently
Brubaker's "deal he couldn't refuse" was just that. It's a risky
proposition but one man will truly "hold all the chips" and would
surely be considered the #1 contender for the World Title after
February 6th.
- Japanese star, Ultimo Akira, has signed a
three show deal with DREAMWAVE Wrestling and will debut March 6th
at "Road to Anniversary". Officials wanted him for "Season
Premiere" on February 6th, but he had overseas commitments.
- "Season Premiere" officially kicks off the
quest towards the biggest show of the year, "Anniversary" which
will take place April 3rd, 2010.
- As of this writing, "Silent Intensity" Austin Roberts has been
the DREAMWAVE World Champion for 215 days, that is over 7 months.
That amount of time eclipses the combined total of the last
6 WWE Champion's title reigns combined. (Sheamus, John Cena (x2),
Randy Orton (x2), Batista). Roberts also hasn't been pinned
or submitted in a professional wrestling match anywhere in the
world since winning the belt on June 6th, 2009.
- "Next" Nick Brubaker has been the
DREAMWAVE Alternative Champion for 159 days, over 5 and a 1/2
months.
- 2010 Season Ticket Holders can expect to
see their "DREAMWAVE Insider" news updates arriving this week via
email.
- Company CEO, Jay Repsel, has had a meeting with a couple
different vendors about offering free breaking news mobile updates
to the DREAMWAVE fans via text message.
- Double M is said to be excited to be returning to LaSalle, if
for one night only, to be inducted into the LaSalle Professional
Wrestling Hall of Fame.
- For those going through DREAMWAVE
withdrawal, there are only 30 more days until Season Premiere on
February 6th, 2010.
- GT Vega has been attending rehabilitation for his torn MCL that
he suffered at "The Fight Before Christmas". He is said to be in
great spirits and his recovery is ahead of schedule. Vega has gone
on record as saying that "Mr. 450" Hammett has helped him stay
focused and been a great motivator for him. The two have been
inseparable since Hammett came to Vega's aid at "The Fight Before
Christmas". They team together in the 8 Team Gauntlet for the Tag
Team Championship at Season Premiere.
- "Mr. Wonderful" Paul Orndorff's rare appearance at "Season Premiere"
on 2/6 will mark the 4th appearance by a WWE Hall of Famer (Jimmy
Snuka, Jerry Lawler, and Sgt. Slaughter), and the 2nd appearance by a
WrestleMania headliner (Sgt. Slaughter) on a DREAMWAVE show.
- DREAMWAVE President,JC Costilli, has
apparently been burning up the minutes on his company issued cell
phone, locking down the special guests for the next few months.
Gilbert Lewis is set to debut at "Season
Premiere" on February 6th against Prince Mustafa Ali. Costilli
confirmed to us that Lewis does not have a DREAMWAVE contract, but
this is his tryout match. Costilli said "if the fans like him,
he'll be back."
- The 8 Team, Tag Team Championship Gauntlet
Match will go as follows:
Two teams will start
When one member of a team is pinned, submits, gets counted out, or
disqualified, both he and his partner must go, and the next team
will then enter the match. This continues until only one team
remains, and they will be crowned the 1st ever DREAMWAVE World Tag
Team Champions.
- CEO, Jay Repsel, has told President, JC Costilli, to get him a
"can't cut list'. Repsel has told Costilli that he needs to free
up some roster spots for some new talent he has been scouting. A
DREAMWAVE contract has become quite the coveted prize amongst
wrestlers in the Midwest.
- Season Tickets are still available on the
front page, and will be until they sellout or until 2/4/09
whichever comes first. It's a great deal. It's $150
and you get the SAME FRONT ROW SEAT at all eleven DREAMWAVE shows

- New faces debuting at "Season
Premiere":
"If Looks Could Kill" : the tag team of Greg
Glover and Brian Nelson
Gilbert Lewis
"The 1st Stringer" Joe Heisman
- We don't have any news on the television
situation yet. We do know this, management seems optimistic and
internally everyone is assuming it's a "go", at least at some
level.
