DREAMWAVE News and Rumors for 2/9/10 (2.09.10)

- Thank you to our wonderful DREAMWAVE fans for making "Season Premiere" on February 6th our most successful event ever.  There were 615 fans on hand to witness the beginning of the DREAMWAVE calendar year.

- Congratulations to the first ever DREAMWAVE Tag Team Champions, Zero Gravity.  Management was said to be thrilled with how the eight team Tag Team Championship Gauntlet match went at "Season Premiere".  Expect a lot more tag team action in the near future.

- "If Looks Could Kill", the team of Brian Nelson and Greg Glover, were signed to a long term DREAMWAVE contract following their stellar performance at "Season Premiere".

- The 6'3" 230lb Justice Jones has been signed to a DREAMWAVE contract and is expected to debut soon.

- As of this writing, "Silent Intensity" Austin Roberts  has been the DREAMWAVE World Champion for 8 months and 3 days.

- "Next" Nick Brubaker has been the DREAMWAVE Alternative Champion for 6 months and 8 days.

- The biggest DREAMWAVE event of the calendar year, "ANNIVERSARY", is just 1 month and 21 days away.

- Company President JC Costilli has signed a Hall of Famer from another sport to appear at an upcoming show.

- "The Fight Before Christmas" (12/5/09) has become the best selling DREAMWAVE DVD ever.  It is headlined by the 2009 match of the year,  Austin Roberts vs Prince Mustafa Ali in a No DQ Street Fight.

- There were said to be no hard feelings between "Silent Intensity" Austin Roberts and "The B-O-Z" Steve Boz following their Lethal Lottery match at "Season Premiere" on February 6th.

- There are said to be many surprises, twists, and turns in store for the next couple of shows, beginning with "Road to ANNIVERSARY" on March 6th, as things begin to take shape for "ANNIVERSARY".

- "Next" Nick Brubaker was said to be "excited in his own way" about winning the Good as Gold briefcase at "Season Premiere".  One DREAMWAVE star had this to say

"That guy is good and he knows it.  The whole A-List is like that, they walk around with a swagger.  It's pretty scary now that he (Brubaker) has the Alternative Title and the Good as Gold Briefcase.  Every since Ryland Foxx came into the picture, Hades and Brubaker have been unstoppable."

- No word on if PL Myers ever got into the A-List party.  Things were not looking good for him at last glance.

- Beginning at "Road to ANNIVERSARY" on March 6th, there will be a special 6:45 p.m. pre-show match. Official Belltime is still at 7 p.m.  The first pre-show match will consist of The Tribal Alliance (Thunderfoot & Squanto) vs 1st & 10.

- There was another backstage altercation between "Legendary" Dan Lawrence and Juliette at "Season Premiere" on February 6th.  Our DREAMWAVE cameras were there to catch the whole incident and it will be on the site soon.

- Samuray Del Sol is rehabbing his ankle and foot injury and is aiming at a February 2011 return date to the ring.

- DREAMWAVE officials are still investigating the incident between GT Vega and Prince Mustafa Ali that took place at "Season Premiere".  Prince Mustafa Ali came from the back and abducted GT Vega's longtime girlfriend, Jenna (who was sitting in the crowd), during GT's match.  Vega gave chase and left his partner, "Mr. 450" alone, causing their team to be eliminated from the tag championship gauntlet.  DREAMWAVE officials have yet to take any action against Ali because they have been unable to get a formal complaint signed by Jenna.  The matter is still under investigation.

- Double M and Acid were very impressed with DREAMWAVE, and Double M even joked backstage that he was sad he forgot his wrestling gear.  The Hall of Fame induction and the emotion of the crowd really hit home with Acid and he is said to be training ferociously for "one last run".

- Ninja Bill was heard backstage talking on his cell phone (in Japanese) at "Season Premiere".  A fellow DREAMWAVE talent who speaks a little Japanese said the only thing he could make out was "I'm glad I have some friends coming soon."

- Ultimo Akira debuts at "Road to ANNIVERSARY" on 3/6.  He is in a fatal four way against Marc Houston, Acid, and "Mr. 450" Hammett.  The man who scores the first pinfall of that match will take on "Next" Nick Brubaker for the Alternative Title at the biggest show of the year, "ANNIVERSARY" on 4/3.

- DREAMWAVE CEO, Jay Repsel, has a trip scheduled to New Jersey in late February to meet with some new talent.

-  Negotiations for the DREAMWAVE Television Show on Comcast fell apart completely.  Apparently the sides couldn't come to an agreement on a few things and the belief internally is that the show is on the shelf for right now.  There has been some talk of a weekly web show, but that is not confirmed at this time.

- "Mr. 450" Hammett's DREAMWAVE contract is set to expire at the end of April.  The two sides are expected to reach a long term renewal in the near future.

- Dan Lawrence's "Legendary Challenge" is not recognized by DREAMWAVE in any way, shape, or form.  It is something Lawrence created himself.

- "Silent Intensity" Austin Roberts is said to have had a different demeanor backstage lately.  Austin Roberts is very well liked and respected among his peers, but one source said that Roberts looked "emotionally drained" following "Season Premiere".  Another staff member said that Roberts has been "wore out" and "mentally taxed" between his feud with Prince Mustafa Ali, match with his best friend Steve Boz, and the vicious attack by Luther.

- Diamond Dallas Page is very excited about his appearance in the Midwest's hottest promotion on April 3rd at ANNIVERSARY.  In a recent phone conversation with DDP we asked him if he had anything he would like to say to the DREAMWAVE fans, he replied "You can tell LaSalle to get ready to FEEL THE BANG!".

- DREAMWAVE security will be working overtime at "Road to ANNIVERSARY" to make sure that Eugene doesn't get himself into any trouble.
