DREAMWAVE News and Rumors for 4/12/10

- ANNIVERSARY (4/3/10) was a huge success on every level and internally everyone was said to be thrilled with how things came off.

- Congratulations to the new World Champion, "Next" Nick Brubaker, and the new Alternative Champion, "The B-O-Z" Steve Boz. Congrats are also in order for Zero Gravity who successfully defended the DREAMWAVE Tag Team Championships against "If Looks Could Kill" in a classic.

- The locker room was said to be buzzing about all the changes that took place at ANNIVERSARY. It was surely something of an emotional roller coaster. There were high points in the night (Boz winning the Alternative Title) to somber moments (Austin Roberts' 10 month title reign coming to a close).

- Speaking of Austin Roberts, he was an absolute basket case when he got to the back. There is a promo that was filmed that will be released soon on dreamwavewrestling.com and it's said to be "almost scary". I overheard a couple of DREAMWAVE stars put it best when they said "The A-List just stole the one thing that meant everything to him (Roberts). What happens now?". I surely wouldn't want to be on Roberts' bad side. Time will tell how he will bounce back from his first defeat in over ten months. As do all DREAMWAVE stars, Roberts, does have a rematch stipulation in his contract.

- I caught up with Marshe Rocket breifly in the locker room following his victory over "Hollywood" Hades at "ANNIVERSARY". Marshe was ecstatic to gain his first DREAMWAVE victory but very upset that he was attacked by Juice. Marshe vowed to get his revenge at "Retaliation" on May 1st on both Ryland Foxx and Juice.

- "The B-O-Z" Steve Boz and his "Boz-zerkers" were said to celebrate Boz's Alternative Title victory at ANNIVERSARY, into the wee hours of the morning.

- As of this writing, Zero Gravity have been the DREAMWAVE Tag Team Champions for 2 months and 6 days.

- GT Vega and Prince Ali have signed on to face each other May 1st at "Retaliation" in a Dog Collar Match. Both men will have a Dog Collar attached to their necks and they will be connected by a twelve foot long chain. The winner of the match is the first one to score a pinfall or submission.

- The tension between CEO, Jay Repsel and President, JC Costilli, seemed to reach a boiling point at ANNIVERSARY. Repsel was furious that Costilli signed off on the return of Juice (formerly Juice Robinson). Repsel felt that Juice turned his back on LaSalle and the entire company and couldn't believe that Costilli would negotiate Juice's return without discussing it with him. Costilli has the authority to negotiate contracts under normal circumstances, but this is one that he probably should have ran by the boss. JC Costilli is under contract with DREAMWAVE until November 6th, 2010. This situation is heating up and we will continue to monitor any new developments.

- Did anyone else see the creepy Yabo the Clown video at ANNIVERSARY? Just the thought of him gives me the willies.

- DREAMWAVE stars, Prince Mustafa Ali, Juice, and Juliette, all appeared on the April 5th episode of WWE Monday Night Raw. Each of them appeared in backstage segments.

- Acid has signed a voluntary addendum to his contract stating that the next time he loses in DREAMWAVE he will retire. This decision was solely Acid's. Apparently he feels that his return hasn't gone as he envisioned it and he refuses to "overstay his welcome".

- Based on the success of the Tag Team division, a massive tag team talent search has begun.

- I was in the locker room at "ANNIVERSARY" and the only way I can describe the reaction to Mason Beck's debut is "shock and awe". There are certainly a couple of DREAMWAVE stars who are nervous about Mason's arrival. Beck makes his solo debut at "Retaliation" on May 1st against Jak Ferrik.

- Ninja Bill has signed a six month contract extension with DREAMWAVE Wrestling.

- There is serious negotiations going on to add a second June show. Little is known about the details but we do understand that it would be a free show of some sort.

- With the success of "DREAMTUBE", the official You tube channel of DREAMWAVE Wrestling, more web based programs are likely.

- Jay Repsel had meetings with the Knights of Columbus this past week regarding the 2011 DREAMWAVE schedule. Nothing has been finalized yet but from what I'm told a deal is imminent.

- Expect an announcement soon about 2011 Season Tickets, which will go on sale in the fourth quarter of 2010. From what I understand the current Season Ticket holders will have the first opportunity to keep or relinquish their current seats. The remaining seats will then go into a pool and will be distributed based on order of purchase.

- A new contest is taking place this year. Apparently we are going to let a lucky fan design a DREAMWAVE T-Shirt. The shirt will then be massed produced for purchase by the entire DREAMWAVE Family!

- "Hacksaw" Jim Duggan was so impressed with DREAMWAVE and it's fans that he is in negotiations to come back at a later date and lace up his boots.

- I'm sure that you've heard by now, that Sid Vicious will be the special guest at "Immortality" on 6/5. Sid is a member of an elite club that held both the WWF and WCW World Championships while the companies were owned by seperate entities. That club also includes: "The Macho Man" Randy Savage, Hulk Hogan, Bret "The Hitman" Hart, Kevin Nash, Ric Flair, and The Big Show.

- The "ANNIVERSARY" DVD will be on sale shortly and is slated to feature tons of extras. To increase the quality, there is talk of making it a two disc set.

- Interesting trivia fact. There are only five wrestlers who hold the distinct honor of having competed on all fourteen DREAMWAVE shows. Austin Roberts, Steve Boz, Nick Brubaker, GT Vega, and Hammett.

- Ninja Bill, Gilbert Lewis, and newcomer Dan The Man (DTM) seemed to be forming a tight bond.

- Very few front row seats remain for "Immortality" on 6/5.  Front row tickets for "Retaliation" on 5/1 are sold out but general admission is still available.

- The DREAMWAVE Birthday calendar is filling up quickly, if you wish to spend your birthday with DREAMWAVE wrestling please email us by clicking here.
